A line of SHRA/TSRA is currently stretching from Lagrange to
Athens ahead of the cold front, and advancing southeastward
through the area. As the front clears the ATL metro sites and
AHN, ceilings are expected to lower to MVFR, which will persist
through the early morning hours. IFR ceilings could also develop
between 06-09Z this morning at those sites. Chances for SHRA will
furthermore increase at MCN/CSG between 08-12Z as the front moves
into central Georgia. The MVFR Ceilings are expected to scatter
out by 12Z at ATL/AHN and by 14Z at CSG/MCN this morning. SW winds
ahead of the front will shift to NW behind the front and increase
to 6-10 kts this afternoon.
