At 2300Z, the marine layer depth was 900 feet. The top of the
inversion was near 2000 feet with a temperature of 33 degrees
Celsius. Another weak inversion above this level had a top near
3300 feet with a temperature of 39 degrees Celsius.
The marine layer depth should increase tonight in the south
coastal sections due to the formation of an eddy off the LA coast.
LIFR conditions are expected along the Central Coast, with IFR
conditions for the Ventura and L.A. coastal sites. Moderate to
high confidence in categories but moderate confidence in timing of
cigs arrival and dissipation.
KLAX...Moderate confidence in the 00Z TAF. For tonight, moderate
to high confidence in return of CIG/VSBY restrictions, most likely
IFR but with a 20% chance of LIFR. Moderate confidence in timing
with cigs arrival between 06-08Z and dissipation 15-18Z.
KBUR...Moderate to high confidence in the 00Z TAF. There is a 30%
chance of MVFR conditions developing after 10Z.
